6 months later...

Well, as the title states, it's 6 months later. Kali was born on May 19, without the induction. I went into labor at 230 am and she was born later in the day at 540 pm. She is the best baby I could have asked for. She is happy and playful and sleeps really well!!!

She will be 6 months this month and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She is crawling and sitting up all on her own. She loves to smile and laugh and is very interested in her surroundings. We recently got her a jumperoo (it's a bouncer seat and she kicks off the floor and bounces herself) and she loves being in there. We also bought her a swing to hang on our deck but we have yet to use it. We have been so busy and haven't been home to enjoy it yet!

Speaking of busy, this is what we have been up to. I went back to work in August, Jeff is almost done training for his IronMan event which is actually this weekend! I am working out again, Jeff is trying to get a bunch of home projects done between working and training and teaching a solar class once a month. I also try to go to LA a couple of times a month. Phew!

We are excited for the holidays this year because it will be the first year we have a house!!! We are hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Matthew will be visiting for Christmas which will be so special to share our first Christmas at the house with him.

As I mentioned above, this weekend is Jeff's IronMan in Tempe, AZ. We leave on Friday morning and return on Monday. I am looking forward to having a nice and relaxing weekend with Kali. I plan to catch up on some scrap booking and resting. Oh and I want to start my Christmas shopping too.

Well, this is all I can think of to share with you all right now. I promise to try and write more often so you guys are updated with what we are up to. Oh, I almost forgot! Please vote for Kali on Parenting.com. I entered two of her pictures in their monthly contest so please visit

3rd day being sick

Today is Thursday and it is my 3rd day with this awful cold. The only good thing about it is that I am told labor is right around the corner. But if it isn't, we have scheduled an induction for this Tuesday (the 19th) at 6 am. Good golly that's early! I have a feeling she will be coming this weekend. At least I hope so.

Jeff and I are over the moon excited for her arrival. We are so happy to be welcoming this wonderful little baby into our lives. We can't wait to meet her and love her and have her be the center of our world. I have waited a long time for this.

I want to write more but I need to get rid of this cold...nap time!

More to come.

Our new life!!!

My friend Bianca told me about keeping a blog and I just had to start one too! I am so excited to share our lives with all of our friends and family. Specially with everything that is going on in our lives these days. We just bought a house in April, and Kali is due in the next 2 weeks. Needless to say, we have a LOT going on. So, read on!

We just bought our first home together in April. It is in Murrieta, which is right next to Temecula here in Riverside county. It is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house with a great back yard in a double cul-de-sac street. Perfect for raising kids! We're still getting settled but for the most part, we're all in. Jeff is working like crazy trying to get everything ready before Kali gets here. I help where I can, but I am so tired these days. He has mowed the over grown lawns and trimmed the palm trees, painted the garage, unpacked everything mostly on his own. He is the most amazing man, husband, father. I love you babe.

My dad has been coming out when he can to do a bunch of work on the house. He painted Kali's room and our kitchen and refinished our entire deck. He has been so great coming out here and getting stuff done for us. We appreciate him so much and are so happy that he is willing to help us out so much with all the painting and everything else that needs to get done. We love you Papo!

I guess this is good for a first entry. I will try to keep up with this as often as possible. That's all I need in life, another addiction!! Between facebook and people.com what else is there? Hope you enjoyed it!
